Spinach Chickpea flour cake

Patra is very popular and my favorite from my home state gujarat. This is a easy variation of it but same taste using similar spices .

It has chopped spinach, chickpea flour and spices, tamarind, jaggery. It’s sweet and sour . There are recipes out there you can try .

Or Indian store has real version patra. Look for it. It’s very tasty and you can also buy steamed rolls which you can season at home . It’s good when you have a party or entertaining ppl.


Pinecone Craft

Pinecone tree turned out good I think. What do you think ? Am getting better. Got bead necklace at dollar tree . And plenty of beads.

Realized natural pinecone are not straight . Tip is always bending on 1 side. May be due to gravity ? All big cones I collected are same .

Almond & coconut flour gravy

Coconut , almonds and other nuts are used in curries so why not use flours if you have it ? Wonder it can be called keto.

First cooked cauliflower in tomato I puréed with some ginger , garlic . If course using Indian seasoning and spices .

Take a spoonful of almond flour and a spoonful of coconut flour and add water to it.

Once cauliflower is cooked , add flour mixture and bring it to 1 boil. Coconut flour absorbs water so it will thicken curry.

Garnish with cilantro.

You can use flour mixed with water to thicken your Chinese curry or any curry.


Coconut Flour Pumpkin Bar

Fall is all abt pumpkin, isn’t it ? Well , may be not. Pumpkin bars using coconut flour turned out good. Found recipe on YouTube and I think channel was clean and delicious or something like that.

Cooking with good ingredients is good. I used organic coconut flour and organic maple syrup. Recipe is so simple :

1 can 15oz pumpkin purée. Nothing added to it .

3/4th cup coconut flour, 1/2 cup maple syrup, 2 eggs , 1/4 cup almond milk (I used regular milk), pumpkin spice, cinnamon powder , pinch of salt. And 1/2 tsp baking powder.

Mix everything together. Add some chocolate cups and nuts .

Bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 40-45 minutes.

They were mildly sweet so I topped it with little maple syrup while eating .


Sprinkle Pomegranate

Pomegranate season is here. Am sure everyone knows how good rich in antioxidants pomegranate is.

You can remove seeds and store in fridge for a week. That way easy to sprinkle whenever you want .

On salad , oatmeal , pav bhaji, poha , Upma etc etc so many options . Find your way. They make dish look pretty and taste good too .
