Indian taste bud prefers spices over sweet. May be it’s just me and has nothing to do with Indian taste bud. Made this spiced cashews and they are so easy to make. Followed Manjula’s kitchen recipe on you tube .
First get good quality raw cashews. I got from Costco.
Heat 2 tsp of coconut oil and roast cashews for 7-8 minutes on a medium heat. Do not burn them.
Spread them in a dish.
Start gathering your spices according to your taste . I added salt,paprika, roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder , dry mango powder for little sourness and pinch of black salt.
You can add just salt or any spices you like.
Once cashews are little cool in 3-4 minutes, add spice mixture and mix well.
Let it cool down completely and then store in a container on a counter. No need to fridge. Just make enough that will last a week or 2.
Good snack to take on hike , travel.
