Do you know Indian “makhaniya” biscuit that we dunk in tea? Bati reminded me of it. Here you dunk it in dal. I have never tasted dal bati and this is the first time I made it so I don’t have anything to compare which is good.
Here’s the recipe I followed:
Dal – I liked it since I love dal anyways and this dal was very simple to make. No sauté of onion , tomatoes which is a big plus . You can make in insta pot. Also this dal can be enjoyed with roti or any crusty wholesome bread like focaccia bread.
Bati- I used coconut oil instead of ghee. It’s made of whole wheat flour and really simple to make.
Overall, it’s an easy meal to make.
Everyone does so called charity , support things now and then . Lot of times we don’t know where the money goes. I have learned to support the things that I actually use, immediate environment of friends and family. Companies whose ideas you agree with.
If you have been following this blog , you know I go hiking often. Something I learned few years back only. Crowders mountain is the closest mountain and I hike there usually so since last year I started donating , supporting park.
Bought mug which is handcrafted, made in USA , lead free. I love the mug and money goes to maintain park. Win win , isn’t it ?
Just sharing idea. Support your national parks whatever way you can .
Left over insta pot cooked pasta with spinach in it.
Steamed some broccoli.
