What are your thoughts on preparations ? It depends on where you are going and what all you have signed up for . Mine gonna involve hiking and lot of hiking so here’s what I have done. Weather changes places to places so you always prepare for all kind of weather.
Have been hiking for last few years but since we started planning trip , have hiked religiously every weekend .
Bought proper shoes way in advance as shown in pic. Have been hiking in them for a while.
Everyday walk, take steps whatever exercise I can get in a day.
Got beet root powder and tried before hike to see it helps. And it does So packing that. And chia seeds.
I like reflexology foot massage so got that done. Feet takes you everywhere so treat them . And with all hiking am doing and will be doing massage felt good.
Did a quick fast to cleanse , change energy.
Point is you prepare yourself before board exam. And then remain flexible and take things as they come , change. Everything always workout and so relax and have fun. I will have stories to tell and experiences to share .
Hope this helps who wants to go on spiritual trips. Remember Jesus Saves.
Stay tuned as I will share what I learned and some pictures, videos from trip. And send your wishes and you will earn some good karmas too.
Every religion I know has some kind of fasting , pilgrimage , chanting, doing good karma is prescribed. Before going on any big trip, Yatra , jatra , journey whatever you call it’s a good idea to fast or take laxative.
One can read a big book on fasting and discuss , argue over it or just fast for a day and you will know what fast is. Same rule applies to lot of other things. If anything appeals to you, experiment with it be it yoga , meditation, pilgrimage or whatever it is. Theory without experiment is useless.
Have been thinking from last few days to make Kheer to use up little left over condensed milk from fig ice cream. When saw all Eid Mubarak everywhere on net, I decided to make sheer khurma. It’s 1 of my favorite dessert.
I won’t give recipe since there are plenty online and it’s very easy to make. If you have never tried this dessert , do try . It’s delicious.
What does travel mean to you ? We all travel for various reasons or obligations but then there are places, countries we visit that appeals to us. May be we call it vacation.
Lot of ppl have told me that they love to see my travel pictures and some become my friends just to see pictures, hear abt my travel experiences. We all see lot of pictures on social media of our friends , family’s travel but do they really appeal?
When You travel , keep eyes, ears and mind open . Have your unique perspective and travel to the places that appeals to you. Also travelling with friends and different personalities help to get different experiences because everyone will want to do different things and will have different strengths.
Example I am not much into adventure but when everyone was doing zip line , microlight in Africa i did it too. I hiked Table mountain which I would have never done given a choice .
My friend and I climbed 1000steps to the temple in no time without stopping when I visited her in India.
India is a country of temples and there are beautiful temples located on top of hills . What happens now a days is that ppl have end goal which is visit temple and get blessings of god . In all that , ppl forget to have total experience that it’s a journey that you take . I am not a temple person but I realized I have been to lot of temples. I do not even remember all of them but some I remember because of climb , steps , food or something unique. Also I been to lot of different religion’s worship places and you always respect their rules, traditions and it’s all same everywhere I feel.
When you travel , sometimes journey is nice , comfortable and sometimes it’s rocky. Sometimes you get to stay in 5 star hotel and next day might be hut. But both will have its own charm and you enjoy both. Somedays you don’t even get food.
Hope this helps to open your eyes towards new experiences on your travel.
Expand your horizon.
