This whole wheat bread recipe is from my yoga teacher Pradip.  We did “meditation in motion”  all night long once. Basically, we all baked different kinda breads and as dough was rising or breads were baking, we mediate. It was a wonderful experience and was so much fun to taste all different breads at the end. We had banana bread, apple bread, cumin bread, orange bread what not and of course i baked jalapeno bread.

Here’s the ingredient list.

1 package dry yeast
1 cup water
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup butter
1 egg beaten or  1 tbsp flex seeds pwd with 3 tbsp water soaked for few mins.
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon onions
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic
PLUS sundried tomatoes, olives… your choice adds. I added Jalapeno.

  • Follow usual bread baking procedure. Taste great with some olive oil drizzled or roasted garlic spread  or soup.
  • Today i roasted some vegetables and it was a great combination.

Have fun with your creativity.

  1. Shouldn’t one keep the tummy free while meditating? It’s generally suggested that if one has food then one shouldn’t do meditation for couple of hours so that mind can concentrate on digesting the food. I believe one of the aims of meditation is ti reverse the flow of apana & prana vayus and its better to keep the stomach free so that obstruction to their natural duties doesn’t cause any problems

  2. Seriously….great blog page and posts right here. The information on this website are really informative!!!!
